Sarah Lubman


Sarah advises clients on a wide range of critical communications issues, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, crisis, reputation management, corporate positioning, litigation, and hostile situations.

Sarah was a journalist for 17 years before joining Brunswick in 2005 and has an extensive background in Asia. She worked for major media outlets in Tokyo and Beijing, and was a reporter at The Wall Street Journal, National/Foreign Editor at the San Jose Mercury News, and Asia Editor at Newsweek International. Sarah graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California-Berkeley with a B.A. in Japanese and Religious Studies and has an M.A. in Japanese literature from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Sarah’s areas of specialization include telecom, media and technology (TMT). Her principal clients include AT&T. Cross-border projects she has advised on include activist defense for two Japanese companies against The Children’s Investment Fund (TCI), a hedge fund, and Astellas Pharma Inc.’s acquisition of OSI Pharmaceuticals.
