Miyelani has over 14 years in the communication and marketing fraternity. He joined Brunswick in September 2012 and has worked on various mandates including the Lonmin reputational rebuild and the public affairs work stream for AB InBev’s acquisition of SABMiller.

He has also worked with a lot of mining clients such as Anglo American, South32, Sasol, Bushveld Minerals and Ivanhoe on stakeholder engagement mandates. He has also worked on the Old Mutual Managed Separation process and the Peter Moyo and Old Mutual litigation matter. He’s advised extensively on handling state capture allegations for multinationals such as McKinsey and T-Systems.

He has experience working for organised business such Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA) and Business Unity South Africa.  He recently advised Aspen Pharmacare on their stakeholder engagement approach to turning around their operation in Eastern Cape to lead in several niche therapeutic opportunities such as manufacturing of Covid-19 vaccine with Johnson and Johnson.

He is a Public Affairs expert who advises on the current political landscape and approach on jointly working with government and business. Previously, he worked for Nedbank, Standard Bank and Wits Business School as a communication manager.
