Before joining Brunswick, Michael worked for more than 25 years as a journalist and editorial leader. Most recently, Michael was Vice-President of International Digital and Strategic Partnerships for CNBC International, leading his global team to record audience growth and engagement on the company’s digital platforms, as well as on social media. He led the launch of successful new editorial products and content brands and worked with the commercial team to identify content solutions for clients. He was also the editorial point person for CNBC International’s partnerships, helping to grow the brand in established markets, launch new ventures in emerging ones and to provide guidance on best practices, brand safety and strategy.

Prior to that, he was Head of News and Programming, APAC for CNBC International, overseeing its network of anchors, reporters and producers in the region in its award-winning business news and current affairs coverage. Michael also played a central leadership role in the company’s C-suite and sector-focused events throughout Asia.

 Michael started his career at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, working his way up through various roles over 16 years. Michael received industry accolades for his work on live event coverage and documentaries, while playing critical roles in breaking news coverage of major world events. Michael holds a Master’s degree in political science from the University of Toronto.
