Gill Ackers


Gill Ackers is one of the Partners leading Brunswick's global financial institutions team. She has extensive experience of corporate positioning and reputation management, transactions, restructurings and crisis.

Before joining Brunswick in 1993, Gill was Head of Global Media for the London Stock Exchange and was subsequently a member of the Financial Services Authority's (FSA) Continuing Obligations theme team, reviewing and advising on policy as part of its comprehensive review of the listing rules in 2005.

Gill has provided senior counsel on several significant transactions, including ICE’s acquisition of NYSE Euronext, The London Stock Exchange’s majority holding in LCHClearnet, the creation of Newedge, the sale of Gartmore to Henderson and JPMorgan’s acquisition of Cazenove, as well as numerous private equity acquisitions and disposals. She has also provided post-merger integration advice to Citigroup, Access Bank and First City Monument Bank. Her international corporate reputation mandates have included TowerBrook, Triton, JPower, Japan Tobacco and Access Bank.
