Prior to joining Brunswick, areas of focus included regional roles across top-tier global advertising, branding and public relations firms where she was responsible for integrated strategy design and implementation across sectors, stakeholders and channels including Rolex, J.P. Getty Museum, MasterCard, HSBC, QNB, PepsiCo, the European Union, London Business School, McDonald’s, Damas, and Dubai Airports, and was invited to guest lecture at the American University in Dubai.
A versatile communications advisor with international experience and vast insight into the MENA region, Donya was appointed by the United Nations as a consultant to the first-democratically elected Prime Minister of Libya in 2013, where she also acted as a special advisor to the Minister of Culture and Minister of Tourism during a critical time in the country’s transition. During her tenure, she was a key architect of a national digital rumor control campaign, for which she was recognized as a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum community.
Donya was born and raised in Rome, Italy, and graduated from the McMaster University in Canada with a BA Honors in Communication Studies and a minor in Italian literature. She is also undertaking an EMBA at the London Business School, is pursuing executive education at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and is fluent in English and Italian with proficiency in French.
