Donya is Director at Brunswick Arts in the Middle East. With global interdisciplinary experience as a communication strategist across sectors and geographies, Donya oversees the development of reputation management programs for Brunswick Arts regional clients.

Prior to Brunswick, Donya has worked as a strategic communications consultant on behalf of the United Nations to the first democratically elected Libyan Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Minister of Culture and was appointed a member of the Global Shaper Community at the World Economic Forum for nation-building efforts undertaken with the Tripoli chapter in 2013 and a founding Speaker at “She is Arab” – a dedicated speaker series founded in the UAE. Donya has also held corporate strategy roles across top-tier branding, advertising and public relations agencies advising luxury, art, hospitality, technology, financial, education and real estate brands in Europe, North America and the Middle East. These include J.P. Getty Museum in Italy, Rolex Awards for Enterprise, Damas Jewelry, InterContinental Hotel Group. Prior to her tenure as a communication strategist Donya worked as a journalist and magazine contributor in Toronto, Cairo, Singapore and Dubai covering cultural, political and lifestyle trends as well as opinion editorials on the practice and management of communication in the Middle East.

Donya was born and raised in Rome, Italy and graduated from the McMaster University in Canada with a BA Honors in Communication Studies and a minor in Italian literature. She is undertaking an executive education certificate at Stanford University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship program and an EMBA at the London Business School. She also studied Arabic in Egypt’s prominent Arabic Language Institute at the American University in Cairo and is fluent in English and Italian with proficiency in French.
