Cynthia has extensive government affairs and communications experience, including senior positions in the private sector and at all levels of government. She joined Brunswick from ExxonMobil where she worked in a number of public affairs roles including media, stakeholder engagement and led state government relations efforts across the U.S.
Previously, she worked at the White House during the George W. Bush administration as Special Assistant to the President for Communications. She was also a senior communications official at the Department of Homeland Security, and served as the press secretary at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Other experience includes serving as a spokesperson for two U.S. Senators, as a spokesperson within Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s administration, and managing several corporate accounts while at Ogilvy Public Relations in New York City.
