Before joining Brunswick’s Berlin office in 2020, he was a member of the European Parliament and sat on committees for foreign affairs, development, human rights and defence. Focusing primarily on climate diplomacy, supply chains, the UN Sustainable Development Goals and wider foreign policy and security issues.
After his education in Boston, Berlin and Cape Town to become a historian he worked at historical institutions, in local administration and at the German Bundestag, and is currently Senior Policy Advisor at the Ecologic Institute Berlin. Thanks to this memberships and background, he enjoys a broad network of contacts across politics, business and society, and has served as an advisor to international associations, think tanks, NGOs and foundations.
