Prior to joining Brunswick, Andrew served as a spokesman for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, focusing on its regulatory operations and registration and compliance systems.
From 2009–2018, Andrew held multiple communications roles at two leading financial industry trade associations—the Institute of International Finance (IIF) and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). While at the IIF, Andrew built an in-house communications department, raised the organization’s media profile globally and developed communications strategies that supported the organization's regulatory advocacy priorities. At SIFMA, Andrew managed day-to-day media relations during the passage and implementation of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and crafted communications campaigns on a number of other advocacy priorities.
Prior to those roles, Andrew served as a spokesman for the U.S. Department of the Treasury, focusing on tax policy and financial sanctions. Andrew began his career in 2006 as a press assistant to Congressman Mark Kennedy. He has an M.S. in Analytics from American University and a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Arizona State University.
