Alex works with clients across a broad range of sectors to create value across the breadth of their stakeholders; their shareholders, customers, employees, and society at large.

Alex joined Brunswick after 13 years at Shell, where he proposed and led the design and launch of Powering Progress, Shell’s first purpose-led company strategy, designed to deliver shareholder value and accelerate the transition to net-zero emissions. Previously, Alex headed up the Group Corporate Communications and Reputation Team and served as an advisor to Shell’s Executive Committee on strategy, engagement and communications on priority ESG themes. This followed senior communications and advocacy roles across the company’s Upstream, Downstream, Integrated Gas and Renewables businesses.

Prior to Shell, Alex was Senior Advisor, Communications and Public Affairs at Toyota Europe, where he oversaw the launch of the world’s first plug-in hybrid car and delivered a campaign to position Toyota as the environmental leader in the automotive sector. Before joining Toyota Alex advised a range of clients as a consultant at a leading communications and public affairs consultancy. Alex began his career as a parliamentary researcher to former UK Prime Minister, David Cameron.

Alex is a Director of The One Foundation, supporting sustainable water and sanitation services in some of the world’s poorest communities. Alex received a B.A. in Social Policy from Durham University and has participated in the Leading Sustainable Corporations Programme at Said Business School, University of Oxford.
