While at Shell, Alex held various other senior communications roles across the company’s Upstream, Downstream, Integrated Gas and Renewables businesses, and worked closely with the Executive Committee on strategy, engagement and communications in response to climate change and priority ESG themes.
Previously, Alex was Senior Advisor, Communications and Public Affairs at Toyota Europe, where he delivered communications and public affairs campaigns to position Toyota as the environmental leader in the automotive sector. Before that, Alex advised a range of clients as a consultant at communications and public affairs agency Luther Pendragon. Alex began his career as a parliamentary researcher to former UK Prime Minister, David Cameron.
Alex is a Director of The One Foundation, supporting sustainable water and sanitation services in some of the world’s poorest communities. Alex received a B.A. in Social Policy from Durham University and has participated in the Leading Sustainable Corporations Programme at Said Business School, University of Oxford.
