Prior to joining Brunswick, he held senior management positions with Commercial Bank of Qatar and with Standard Chartered Bank where he managed regional communications for Europe/US and then Middle East South Asia. He developed Standard Chartered's Government Relations and Reputational Risk programs, as well as supporting significant acquisitions in Asia and the Middle East.
Alex started his career at Occidental Petroleum, where he managed the company’s response to the Piper Alpha disaster, and later went on to be UK Head of External Relations and Marketing for Elf Aquitaine. Alex has an MSc in Public Relations from Stirling University, and an International Management Certificate from INSEAD.
