He joins Brunswick from Japan Tobacco International, where he was Corporate Affairs and Communication Director. Adrian was responsible for engaging a broad range of government stakeholders and mapping risks in a highly regulated industry. He also led the company’s efforts in building and maintaining a coalition of business partners, including retailers, trade associations, local and foreign chambers of commerce, professional associations, foreign embassies and the media.
Before moving into the private sector, Adrian had a successful career at the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including a four-year assignment as First Secretary at the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia. During his time there, he engaged a wide range of stakeholders within the Government, Parliament, political parties, media, academia, and NGOs, and built a strong network and a deep understanding of the business and political environment. His prior experience in Indonesia led him to join ST Telemedia for 3 years where he supported the company’s efforts to build a network of regional and local stakeholders for its investments in Southeast Asia.
Adrian is a Singaporean who speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia. He holds a Master’s degree in Contemporary China from Nanyang Technological University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Political Science from National University of Singapore
