Rob Webb QC joins Brunswick as a Senior Advisor

Brunswick strengthens senior advisory network and global Litigation expertise.

Brunswick Group, a leading corporate advisory firm, announced today that Rob Webb QC will join as a Senior Advisor on a part-time basis.  Rob, a highly regarded corporate executive and legal professional, will be based in Brunswick’s London office, but will work with Brunswick’s global client base providing senior strategic counsel on critical and regulatory issues.  Rob will also be involved in shaping and driving the continued growth of Brunswick’s Litigation practice.

Rob joins Brunswick following a distinguished corporate and legal career.  Most recently he was General Counsel at Rolls-Royce Group plc, which he joined in 2012, having previously been General Counsel at British Airways for a decade from 1998-2008. 

He has significant Non-Executive experience, including sitting on the Board of the BBC (and as Chairman of BBC Worldwide), as the Senior Independent Director of the London Stock Exchange and as Chairman of Autonomy plc.  He is currently the Senior Independent Director of the Holdingham Group, and is Chairman of Darktrace Ltd and of Luminance Ltd. 

Formerly a Fellow of Unicef, Rob currently serves as a Trustee of Comic Relief.

In practice at the Bar, Rob was Head of Chambers at 5 Bell Yard for 10 years and was a Recorder of the Crown Court.  He is a Bencher of the Inner Temple and a Door Tenant of Brick Court Chambers. His practice was in the field of Commercial Law, Aviation and Litigation involving mass personal or corporate disasters; across many countries and many forums.

Rob Webb QC

Rob Webb, is currently Chairman of Darktrace Limited, Chairman of Luminance and a Director of Holdingham Group (formerly Hakluyt).  He is a Door Tenant of Brick Court Chambers.

Until 1998, Rob was a practicing Barrister, a Recorder and Head of Chambers at 5 Bell Yard, London.  His field of practice was commercial law, aviation law and mass disaster litigation.

From 1998 to 2009 he was General Counsel of British Airways.  He is also a past Chairman of BBC Worldwide and of Autonomy plc, a former Senior Independent Director of the London Stock Exchange and a former Director of Argent Ltd and of Air Mauritius. He was General Counsel of Rolls-Royce Plc (2012-16).

He is a Bencher of the Inner Temple and Trustee of Comic Relief, and of the Migratory Salmon Foundation and a former Fellow of UNICEF.

Married, with two adult sons, Rob lives in London and Scotland.
