Andrew Garfield is a partner in the financial institutions group and has acted for some of the world's leading companies including Barclays, BNP Paribas, GDF Suez, NYSE Euronext, Access Industries, JPower, Munich Re, Renaissance Capital and VTB. He has extensive experience in advising clients on high profile M&A, crisis and shareholder activism. Major transaction experience includes Barclays'' acquisition of Lehman and BNP Paribas' acquisitions of Fortis and BNL, Barclays bid for ABN-Amro, the mergers of GDF Suez and NYSE Euronext. He joined Brunswick in 2001 from the Independent Newspaper where he was Financial Editor. He graduated from Oxford University with a BA in Russia and French.
