Mike helps clients on a wide range of issues where the quality of storytelling is critical, including crisis, litigation, leadership transition and the articulation of strategic vision. He co-leads Brunswick’s global Industrials & Infrastructure sector group.

Mike joined Brunswick after 12 years at BusinessWeek magazine, where he started off as a legal reporter, authoring more than a dozen cover stories. He eventually rose to become the Senior Editor in charge of the magazine’s corporate department, leading a team of editors and writers responsible for the magazine’s coverage of the airline, automobile, chemical, energy, food, manufacturing, retail and transportation industries, among others. Prior to his career as a journalist, Mike practiced corporate law for three years in San Francisco.

An experienced television commentator, he has appeared on CNBC, CNN, MSNBC and other networks. He has also spoken internationally about crisis management before groups such as the American Bar Association, Practicing Law Institute, the Association of General Counsel, the Lawyers for Civil Justice and GE’s Crotonville leadership institute. Additionally, Mike has led a workshop on corporate storytelling for Aspen Institute's Business & Society program. Since joining Brunswick, Mike has advised General Electric, McKinsey, Union Pacific, FedEx, Canadian National, Thomson Reuters, Chevron, Christie’s and the Brooklyn Museum, among others. He graduated from Wesleyan University and Stanford Law School.
