Maren Brooks is a director in Brunswick Group’s Washington, D.C. office. She is a national security and counterterrorism expert, who has served in senior positions in the White House, National Counterterrorism Center and the Department of State.
Over two decades, Maren has advanced anti-corruption and counter crime efforts with Europe and worked on issues as complex as measuring U.S. Government counterterrorism effectiveness. Most recently, Maren served as the Senior Director of the White House Situation Room, ensuring timely and comprehensive reporting to the President, and leading crisis response efforts. Maren is skilled in many facets of strategy and policy development, and crisis leadership and response. Maren is a respected university and conference panelist lending her expertise in counterterrorism policy and national security decision making.
Maren holds a Masters of Arts in International Affairs from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She is a native of North Carolina, and currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia.
