Katharine Spence joins Brunswick Group as Partner Spence will become a

Spence will become a partner in the London office focusing on retail and consumer clients.

Brunswick Group, a leading corporate advisory firm, announced today that Katharine Spence (previously Witty) will join its London office as a partner. Spence joins the firm from Harrods where she has been director of corporate affairs since 2008. She is a former broadcast journalist and specialist in the consumer industries and luxury sector.

"Her experience working in luxury retail, one of the most rapidly changing and complex sectors, coupled with her background in media will offer our clients deep and varied knowledge of the market and its many stakeholders."

Katharine Spence joins Brunswick Group from Harrods, where she was group director of corporate affairs. She held the post from June 2008, before which she was director of press and public affairs at the company. Spence joined Harrods in 2007 after a career in broadcast journalism. She was royal correspondent at Sky News between 2004 and 2007, and prior to that she was a general news reporter at Sky News and BBC News. She began her career as a trainee at the Press Association. She studied music at Magdalen College, Oxford.
