Eric Savitz


Eric Savitz is a partner in Brunswick Group’s San Francisco office, where he co-leads the firm’s U.S. and global technology practices. Leveraging writing skills and extensive media connections built on a long journalism career, Eric’s work includes IPO, M&A and activism defense counsel; litigation and crisis communications; media relations, media training and writing assignments.

Among many other projects, Eric has worked on the Alibaba, King Digital and Pure Storage IPOs; activism defense for eBay, Pandora and Yahoo; and various M&A situations, including Western Digital/SanDisk and Facebook/WhatsApp.

Before joining Brunswick in early 2013, Eric spent 29 years as a reporter, columnist, blogger and editor, primarily focused on technology and Silicon Valley. Most recently, he was San Francisco Bureau Chief for Forbes, where he managed coverage of the technology business and Silicon Valley. He also previously wrote and edited for Barron’s, The Industry Standard, Smart Money and Dow Jones News Service. Eric has a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was managing editor of The Daily Pennsylvanian.
