Before joining Brunswick, Emily was a senior vice president in the crisis practice at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, where she was a key member of the cyber communications team and also advised on a range of crisis communications and issues management engagements.
Her experience includes: acting as a key member of the response team for one of the largest data breaches on record, reputation repair for a major Wall Street bank following the financial crisis, crisis response in the wake of a large-scale industrial accident, and crisis response and reputation repair for one of the largest quick service restaurant companies in the country. Before transitioning to Hill+Knowlton Strategies, Emily served in a similar capacity as a director at Public Strategies.
Immediately prior to joining Public Strategies, Emily led the business development effort for Austin Ventures, a venture capital and private equity firm with $4 billion under management. Previously, Emily was an associate and an investment professional at SPO Partners, a value investment firm with $7 billion of capital. She began her career at Morgan Stanley as an investment banking analyst in the healthcare group, based in New York City.
Emily is an honors graduate of the University of North Carolina with a double major in history and peace, war, and defense
