Daisuke advises both Japanese clients on international communications and non-Japanese clients on communication needs in Japan. He has worked for over a decade on various issues, including crisis, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and corporate reputation building, utilizing his extensive contacts in media, government, and corporate sectors in Japan and internationally.

Prior to joining Brunswick Daisuke had a career spanning over 15 years as a fast-track diplomat in the Japanese Foreign Ministry, involved in US military base issues in Okinawa, WTO Doha Round negotiations, and Ministry procurement and expenditure reform. He was the spokesperson at the Embassy in London in the immediate aftermath of the March 2011 earthquake in Japan.

Daisuke is a Guest Professor of the ESG-Integration Center at the Osaka University, on the Advisory Board of the 30% Club Japan Chapter, and serves as a Non-Executive Board Member of Japan House London. Daisuke has a BA in law from the University of Tokyo as well as masters’ degrees from the University of Cambridge and the London School of Economics.
