In that capacity, he was intimately involved in the transatlantic trade negotiations, as well as data privacy, digital economy, sanctions and energy security.

Sir Jonathan and Ambassador Gardner will harness their deep understanding of political and regulatory dynamics to provide Brunswick clients with critically important advice on the political landscape in which they operate, including supporting businesses through Brexit and beyond.  They will work closely with the global public affairs teams in London, Brussels, Berlin, Paris, Beijing, Johannesburg and Washington DC.

Susan Gilchrist, Brunswick Group Chief Executive, said: “Sir Jonathan and Ambassador Gardner are exciting additions to our existing public affairs team at Brunswick.  Their unrivalled political experience will prove invaluable to our clients as we advise them on how to navigate today’s uncertain global environment.”

Sir Jonathan Faull said: “I’m delighted to be joining Brunswick and look forward to working closely with the extremely impressive experts across the firm to help clients understand the political dimension of the challenges they face.”

Ambassador Gardner added: “There is enormous demand from companies all over the world for perspectives and advice on how to respond to the global challenges of today. I’m looking forward to helping the Brunswick team deliver that advice to their impressive roster of clients.”
