Brunswick appoints eight new partners

Brunswick Group, a leading corporate communications partnership, is delighted to announce that, following an extensive and thorough process, we have asked eight Directors to join the Partnership this year.

They represent six of our offices and signify our cross-border strength. Their experience will further embed the firm’s expertise in business critical issues for our clients, including multi-channel corporate communications, crisis, public affairs, M&A and media strategy.

Andrew Porter, London.

Andrew advises a number of UK and international clients on financial and corporate communications. He specializes in public affairs and media.

Andrew joined Brunswick from The Daily Telegraph where he was Political Editor. He had previously worked as Deputy Political Editor for The Sunday Times and The Sun. He also worked for The Sunday Times business section covering industry and media sectors. Prior to that he worked for Sunday Business covering industry and politics. Andrew has a post graduate diploma in Newspaper Journalism from Cardiff University and a BA (Honors) in History and Politics from Warwick University.

His clients have included Direct Line Group, RBS, First Group, Battersea Power Station, Berkeley Group, Royal Mail, Burberry, Drax, Scottish Power, Liberty Global International, InterContinental Hotels Group and Punch Taverns.

Christina Stenson, San Francisco.

Christina works with corporates, as well as private equity and venture capital firms, to advance their reputation, business and investment goals over time and during transformative situations through communications strategies and executive positioning.  She has extensive experience working with companies across sectors during business-critical events, including M&A, IPOs, restructurings and reorganizations, shareholder activism, crisis and litigation, market transitions and other special situations.

Christina has a particular focus on technology companies, having joined Brunswick in February 2006, with a background advising technology start-ups on company and product communications and go-to-market strategies.

At Brunswick she has worked with clients that have included, American Water (during its IPO); Applied Materials, Barnes & Noble (Microsoft’s investment in Nook), Broadcom, Cisco Systems, CVC Capital Partners, Del Monte Foods (consumer foods business sale), Dura Automotive Systems (Chapter 11 filing), GE, Irving Place Capital, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Northwest Airlines (emergence from bankruptcy and relisting), SIRVA, Inc. David Seldin, Washington DC.

David advises clients on a range of public affairs, crisis communications, issues management and corporate reputation issues, with a strong emphasis on the challenges facing healthcare companies worldwide.

David’s past experience includes service in the White House Press Office under President Clinton, and as Communications Director to US Senator Ron Wyden. Prior to joining Brunswick, he headed Corporate Communications for Blue Shield of California.

Healthcare clients have included Novo Nordisk, GE Healthcare, McKesson, Walgreens, Pfizer, Express Scripts, Aetna, the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, PhRMA, Impax Laboratories, the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health and Smith & Nephew, among others. He helped direct Brunswick’s work for BP during the Gulf of Mexico crisis, and has advised companies and associations in the construction, security, accounting, energy and education sectors.

Fiona Claire Littig, Munich.

Fiona advises clients on a broad variety of business critical situations, including M&A, operational restructuring and performance optimization, crisis and litigation. She also has extensive experience in internal and integration communications, investor relations, media relations, corporate positioning and reputation management.

Fiona joined Brunswick in 2001 as one of the founding staff members of the first German office in Frankfurt and moved to the newly-established Munich office in 2011. Prior to joining Brunswick Fiona worked for Edelman PR. She is a Certified Investor Relations Officer (CIRO) and holds a Master degree with distinction from Gutenberg-University in Mainz, Germany / Université de Bourgogne in Dijon, France.

Amongst others Fiona has special expertise in the life sciences and chemicals industries. Her project experience includes the acquisition of Aventis by Sanofi, BASF’s acquisition of Engelhardt, Schering’s defense against Merck and the subsequent merger with Bayer, Allianz’s sale of Dresdner and Nokia Siemens Networks’ restructuring in Germany.

Jayne Rosefield, New York.

Jayne advises clients on a broad range of critical communications issues, with a specialist focus on financial communications, crisis and M&A.  Having split her career between New York and London, Jayne also brings a strong international perspective in running multi-stakeholder campaigns and cross-border mandates.

Prior to joining Brunswick in 2005, Jayne worked in the Syndicated and Leveraged Finance group at JPMorgan in New York. Jayne has a Bachelor of Arts degree (Magna Cum Laude) in History and Literature from Harvard University, and a Master of Arts degree (Distinction) in English Literature from University College London.
 
Jayne is the driver of Brunswick's US Consumer Industries practice. Clients have included PepsiCo, Kraft Foods, Burger King, US Foods, Sysco, Dairy Crest and Unilever. Transaction highlights include Sysco's $8.2bn acquisition of US Foods, Kraft’s $20bn acquisition and integration of Cadbury plc and subsequent spin-off of its North American grocery business, and Burger King’s combination with Justice Holdings and Listing on the NYSE.

Jarrad Comley, MerchantCantos in London.

Jarrad advises and oversees all creative projects across MerchantCantos, with particular responsibility for print and digital design. He is involved in generating brand strategy, messaging and experience from proposition through to delivery.

As a specialist in multi-channel corporate communications, Jarrad has creative and operational responsibilities with expertise in consulting on how to unify our integrated offers for clients. His key focuses are Branding, Corporate reporting, Employee communications and IR campaigns.

Jarrad joined MerchantCantos in 2009 from another UK-based creative communications agency where he was also Creative Director. He has worked across all major sectors and has delivered creative thinking for international clients including Access Bank, BBC Worldwide, Burberry, HSBC, Ladbrokes, Puma Energy, PwC and Shire.

Nick Cosgrove, London.

Nick advises clients on a wide variety of communications issues, including financial, corporate, media, advocacy and crisis.

Nick joined Brunswick in December 2010 after 12 years as a journalist at the BBC. Whilst at the BBC, Nick was a Business Presenter on the flagship Radio 4 Today program.

At Brunswick, Nick acts as a senior consultant to a range of high profile clients that have included, Spencer Stuart, Dixons Retail and Trinity Mirror. In the last three years he has advised on a number of transactions including HMV’s disposal of Waterstones, the proposed merger between Britvic and AG Barr and the IPO of Pets at Home.

Peter Lindell, Stockholm.

Peter advises on corporate communications and investor relations, as well as on projects such as IPOs, share issuance, crisis and M&A communications. Peter is part of the financial, private equity and energy sector teams.

Peter joined Brunswick in 2010 and has 14 years of experience of advising boards, management and politicians on strategy, corporate communications and finance. He spent three years as head of corporate governance at AMF Pension, with €30bn assets under management, responsible for AMF’s work on nominating committees, handling M&A and new share issuance. He spent six years as a senior investment manager at the Ministry of Industry responsible for several state-controlled companies, and served on the Board of Directors of, among others, Vattenfall AB, Europe’s fifth largest utility. Peter has a background as a journalist with Bloomberg News in Stockholm.
