Brian Potskowski joins Brunswick Group as a Partner in London

Brunswick Group, the strategic advisory firm focused on critical issues, today announced that Brian Potskowski has joined as a Partner in the London office focused on climate issues. Brian will join the firm’s expanding Business & Society offer and will advise leading companies worldwide on the global response to climate.

Brian joins Brunswick after more than a decade focusing on the energy transition, most recently as a vice president for the energy-focused investment firm Riverstone Holdings. There, he was responsible for investments in the power sector, concentrating on energy and climate policies, macroeconomic trends and identifying new investments in renewables and power generation.

Brunswick, a member of the UN’s Race To Zero coalition, works on climate issues with a number of leading companies, as well as the UN Principles for Responsible Investment and the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures. The firm’s role as Special Advisor to the UN High Level Climate Champions for COP26 places Brunswick at the core of the global effort on climate.

Neal Wolin, Chief Executive Officer, said: “Climate change is one of the most urgent issues facing the world today. Brunswick is playing an important role in helping clients respond constructively to this challenge. Brian’s broad base of experience on climate will add meaningfully to our capabilities and make us even better placed to help clients take substantive action in the fight against climate change.”

Lucy Parker, Senior Partner, Business & Society, said: “Climate is a critical issue for our clients, demanding a response from companies in all sectors. Brunswick is extremely active in this area already and Brian’s expertise and experience will help us strengthen our advice on this issue yet further.”

On joining Brunswick, Brian Potskowski said: “Tremendous value is at stake for businesses navigating climate risk. With its reputation as the most trusted global firm for critical issues, I can’t think of a better place than Brunswick to help companies chart a path to a net zero economy.”
